CTOI is entirely volunteer-run and primarily funded by skater dues. We constantly endeavor to make team figure skating affordable to everyone. Making this dream a reality requires community and outside support.
If you would like to donate or become a CTOI sponsor to help every skater have an opportunity to join a team, please read the information below.
If you are interested in donating to CTOI, you can use PayPal by clicking on the boxes above. Donations to CTOI go towards scholarships for skaters in need, additional costs accrued during the season to reduce further out-of-pocket expenses, and to allow our skaters to participate in additional workshops to hone their skills. All donations are tax deductible.
Our sincere thanks to our 2024 sponsors below. We are able to build better, stronger teams and offer more opportunities for all to skate. Thanks to you!
Capital Theatre on Ice (CTOI) is a community of 120 skaters and 11 coaches in the Washington DC area that combine ice skating skills, creativity and grace with the thrill of performing theater and dance. Capital Theatre on Ice prides itself on not only for its successful competitive teams, but for its focus on performance. Our goal is to develop well rounded creative skaters who learn to work with each other as a team and as a family; attributes we hope our skaters can use beyond their skating family.
In 2022 our Intermediate team became National Champions while our Preliminary and Senior Teams earned National bronze medals and we fielded a National Adult team for the first time. The following year our Preliminary Team earned a National silver medal and our Senior Team earned a National bronze medal. This year our Novice and Senior teams are traveling to France to compete internationally.
Following the success of last season, CTOI is the team to watch this season. Becoming a CTOI sponsor provides visibility to your company, shows your support for the arts within our community and, as a non-profit organization, is tax deductible.
In order to provide an affordable skating experience for all skaters, we operate without full time staff and rely heavily on volunteers to keep overhead costs low. Unfortunately, ice skating remains an expensive sport, and not all of the families on our team can afford the cost. Your sponsorship will be directly used to off-set the cost of dues and provide scholarships for talented skaters who cannot otherwise afford to be a part of the team.
Thank you for considering joining CTOI as a sponsor! Our skaters and organization appreciate it!
